Many startup founders quickly find themselves thrown into to the role of employer. They need to define expectations and manage risk while at the same time being a desirableemployer to attract top talent. Employees are people, who by nature are quirky and difficult.
The objectives of this session are to arm founders and others who make personnel decisions with:
- An understanding of the risks inherent to having employees and strategies to manage them.
- An understanding of the role of personnel policies and manuals.
- Best practices for hiring, firing, compensation, and other personnel administration issues, including sticky situations that can arise with employees.
Because we want participants to be able to ask candid questions without their employees present, this session is limited to founders and other C-Level executives who make personnel decisions or anticipate having to do so.
Refreshments will be provided.
