Christina Bard is the Operations Manager at Ascender. She oversees processes and procedures to support the Ascender team and coworking space. She is excited by innovation, new challenges, and creating sustainable systems and solutions. She looks forward to learning more about entrepreneurs’ needs and finding ways to support their ideas.
A well-rounded nonprofit professional, Christina has nearly 15 years of experience supporting the growth of local nonprofits, including Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank, Grow Pittsburgh, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Contemporary Craft, Silk Screen Asian Film Festival, and Pittsburgh International Folk Arts. She brings expertise in fundraising, communications, operations, finance, and event planning.
A former jewelry designer, architectural photography assistant, and seasonal candy maker, Christina has held many side hustles and appreciates the creative energy at Ascender. She believes in strengthening communities and building connections through volunteering and has dedicated time to the Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank, Pittsburgh Montessori, and Senator John Heinz History Center.
An Association of Fundraising Professionals Chamberlain Scholar and PennWest of Edinboro graduate, she is currently enrolled in Google’s Data Analytics program.
When she is not working, she can be found spending time outside, cooking, doing pilates, and enjoying her family and art exhibits.
